I am slowly trying to bring a couple of relative newbies into the more interesting waters of Africa. We did a Namibian high-fenced hunt last year. Good animals but not much adventure. I have been to the Eastern Cape and found it too bed and breakfasty and too much skipping from farm to farm to get the animal of the day. I was thinking that northern South Africa might be closer to a real outdoor experience. With Dallas looming on the horizon,I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about places closer to Zim, Mozambique or Botswana might hold more promise of a less controlled environment. My goal is to eventually get them to Zim for a real wild hunt but they got seduced by the package deals that promise all sorts of sure things. Anybody had good trips that they would recommend up there?
