Is a leopard hunt Do-able for 10days @400us per day? Plus a trophy fee of $3500us or so? What are the percentages for a represenative trophy? At the same time I would like to take an eland cow(bait maybe), trophy bushbuck, zebra, and a nontrophy nayala. If so where can it be done and who would you recommend? If not, how much more? feel free to email THRCAPTDP@cs.com (case sensitive) thanks capt david.

That seems pretty tight to me. Call Greg Rodriguez, who is a poster on this site. he'll be able to tell you if that's at all realistic.

First off what country has a $3500 fee on leopard.. Now again if you are hunting a big cat he will want natural bait not a chunk of eland... He will be smart...
Dont think anyone will want or let you shoot an immature nyala... They bring a high price a a trophy, unless he has a broken horn... My opinion..

capt,
My experience believe it or not 5 sittings over 2 safaris and 2 Big leopards, you need to go where cats have not been educated. Ask how many leopards hunts they sell vs how many on Quota. It should be 1 for 1. I have not hunted Zim but from other posters here the leopards seem "bait smart"
Good luck.

You will struggle to find a leopard for that price Sir. I can help you as follow:
Day rates - $550.00 for ten days
Trophy fee - $3500.00 (only payable if you draw blood)
Pre-Baiting – 10 Impala @ $100.00 per animal - $1000.00
Permit( Tag) - $700.00
Airport Transfers- $550.00

Trophy fees:

Eland Cow – We do not like to shoot them, breeding stock, but can do one for $950.00
Bushbuck - $850.00
Zebra - $1000.00
Nyala - $1350.00 (you can shoot any size, we have gazillions)

We will start baiting the cat 7 days prior to your arrival.

Area is very mountainous, and a very big Leopard can be expected.

They are clever, that is true, but that makes it that much more fun.

We can do a leopard in Zim at $500/day 10 days plus $3500 trophy fee ... this would be on private land so hunting at night is legal (which improves the odds dramatically). This is an exportable leopard. We have only 2 permits per year for this area, and we have been successful every year except 2008 where we came up short one leopard on a late season hunt.
