My prayers are with you and your family.
while healing may not be the plan, I do pray for you to have peace. One of my favorite passages for difficult, hard to understand times.

Psalm 103

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
3 who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
10 He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
13 As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
14 For he knows our frame;[a]
he remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass;
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and its place knows it no more.
17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
18 to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments.
19 The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Bless the Lord, O you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his word,
obeying the voice of his word!
21 Bless the Lord, all his hosts,
his ministers, who do his will!
22 Bless the Lord, all his works,
in all places of his dominion.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

I'm not sure I can add anything better than has already been said. But I will be praying for your soul & that your last days are your best days.

God bless you and your family.

Our family has been hit health wise recently as well. My very fit and trim father-in-law was diagnosed with and had a tumor about 1 1/2 times the size of a tennis ball removed.

It has been a wild ride.

He had an issue on Wed, another on Thur and the next week he was having a tumor removed and then headed home. Wow. What a roller coaster and now he is meeting with cancer specialists, etc.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and extended family. I know the road you are going down, grandma had cancer, cousin, etc so it is very close to home.

I pray that you can attend your daughters wedding. Push on my friend and god bless.

Justin

What ever you do do not give up hope.

I just came home from a friend who was given 2 months to live (he had advanced liver cancer) . He was happy to let me know that he had a check up this past week and the doctors we amazed that there was no sign of cancer and that he is doing well. I thought he was in the grae after the second treatment, however he had the mine set that he was going to beat the cancer and he did.

The doctors we almost wordless and told my friend to not waist the time he has left, as some one higher up has plans for him.

All i can say is you are in our prayers and take care of your self.

I'm a bit loss for words, but if I can offer a suggestion from someone who lost their father when they were very young. Write something to your 4 year old daughter about yourself. Tell her about you, tell her about what you and her used to do together, tell her about all the things she did that you loved, tell her you are proud of her and always watching even if she can't see or hear you.

She will learn about you growing up from friends and relatives, but I know she will appreciate hearing about her father from her father.

My first trip to Africa was to an island in the middle of the Okavango Delta. The most beautiful peaceful place on earth I have ever seen. The water cool to the taste, birds cooing in the trees, warm sand on my feet and absolutely no worries. I ask the name of the camp and the ph replied "Jao". What does it mean, I ask? He said , it means "Paradise".
Ever since then I have tried to behave the best I could while on this earth just so I could end up in Paradise Camp when my time comes. I hope we will meet there some day and you and I will get to enjoy peace in "Paradise"!
God Bless
