I was informed today that Yohannes Dernersessian passed away. Some of you may remember him from the 80's and 90's when he was an active PH in Ethiopia. He first worked for Ethiopian Rift Valley Safaris in the early 80's in the Danakil, Omo Valley, and Maze. He then went on to operate his own outfit in the mid 80's until 1993 when the hunting was closed. Occasionally he still did a safari for ERVS and assisted on several elephant safaris in the Tepi Plantation concession. He hunted a lot in the Gambella region and attempted to reopen Gambella in 2004. It was never to be. Another one of the old ones bites the dust!

I am sorry to hear that. My condolences to his family. I'm sure he lived an envious life beer
