Legal hunting is not harming lion populations in Africa. But the locals are killing them them off in droves - as they always have. Lions are pests to them.

There is a huge amount of Safari area in Uganda. One of the UWS areas I hunted was the Kafu River Basin which is 5,000,000 hectares.

My PH and I spent a couple of days scouting areas that they cant get to because there are no roads. We would drive the main roads for 10ks, stop and walk. We did that off and on for two days... Virgin Territory.

UWS does have an unbelievable amount of game in the hunt able areas.

Where are the clueless idiots who shed so much tears on Cecil!?

Just goes to show they have absolutely no interest in conservation.

Just anti hunting!

At least 7 were poisoned in Zimbabwe the year that Cecil died; probably twice that number and never made the back page (a) because there was no identifiable focus like a hunter or hunting and (b) because the ARAs have to be careful about PC to maintain cash flow and they're not sure how to vilify impoverished villagers.

(B) also explains why they pretend habitat loss and Africa's projected human population explosion don't exist.
