I do not write a lot but wanted to let those of you that I know... that I am off to Zim on Tuesday to hopefully bag the elusive Lion that has avoided me so far. Will hunt 18 days in Dande South out of Ingwe with Bruce Watson as my PH. Hope to shoot some buffalo as well as Sable, etc. etc.

As I go over, I am taking some items for David Hulme to help him with his trek around Zimbabwe. I plan to meet him in Harare with a few small things.

On the backend I hope to conncet with Alex Adkins and Andrew McLaren at a Brei but am mot sure if time will permit all. Hope to get a chance to smoke something with the big Heym but you never know. At any rate, it will all be fun.

Regards,

Larry

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Sitting in Joburg in Delta lounge now. Had a great trip. Shot two nice buffalo, one a real dugga boy, african wildcat, and of course my lion among some other things. Will send some photos to someone if they can help the impaired post photos.

good story in it all. Got the lion on 15 day of 16 days of hunting. Was getting anxious at the end. Lots of lions in Dande, just lots of females and young males so it took lots of work and meat to make it work. in the end it all paid off. Will write up a short story soon and tell you all about it.

Thanks for all the support
