Mark Young told me that some of you were interested in seeing what some of our buffalo looked like at the end of the season last year. No one in Africa can match our consistent buffalo quality in Masailand. Bold statement I know, but just stateing a fact. I believe Bwanamich owes me a bottle of scotch or something from our 2005 bet beer I have yet to see any other outfitter show as many big buffalo as we produce in one season.

49" buff taken in November

48" Buff taken in December

47.5" Buff taken in November

46" Buff taken in December

45" Buff taken in November by one of our lady hunnters.

We also took two respectable Elephants. Too much rain for good elephant hunting, so we were happy with these two. 60 pounder with 6 foot ivory and 55 pounder with 7 foot ivory.

Rookie Question: How are Buff Measured? Outside width, From the boss around the curve to the tips?? Confused

I'm sure 99% of you know the answer but..............I don't.

Fantastic animals!

Riodot, for practical purposes, the measurement refers to the straight line, greatest width (outside spread) at right angles to the axis of the skull.

This comes from the Rowland Ward System and is a very practical and useful measurement for field judging.

For SCI you measure the horns differently. You do a tip to tip measurement along the curve of the horns and across the forhead.

Very nice trophies. In this age of ele hunting, I guess 60# really rates high. One just doesn't hear of the really big tuskers but rarely.
