As for anti-malarials, there are several options but I'd recommend Malarone as probably your best bet.

If you take Larium, I'd recommend you test fly it for a week or two beforehand.

If you take Doxycycline, I'd recommend you also take live acidophilis and watch out for the side effect of thrush..... Doxy is a useful protection against tick bite fever though.
