This needs to be the future of Lion hunting (or all hunting) everywhere. Better to not raffle the animal though, but rather let hunters and antis BID for quota. Give the antis a chance to put their money where their mouths are and simultaneously raise the prices paid for hunts (or non-hunts) putting more money into the areas in question. Ronald Coase would be smiling from ear to ear. Smiler

Hopefully, the publicity provided by the Telegraph's article (and other social media) will encourage non-hunters to access (either out of frustration, anger, or just curiosity) the BVC's website. The BVC has an incredible wildlife conservation story (funded entirely by hunter's dollars) to tell. Former cattle ranch converted to a wildlife ranch, third largest black rhino population, Zim's largest lion population, increasing elephant population, ongoing lion research, effective anti-poaching initiatives, etc. Hey Pieter Scat, Johnny Rodriquez, Sir Richard, Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot, why don't y'all purchase the 100 raffle tickets? It's time for you keyboard conservationists to "walk the walk". Cool

Even in black and white they still do not get it. Anyway as Cajun1956 says it maybe good publicity for the BVC's conservation program.

Also good for highlighting anti-hunter hypocrisy a la "We gave you a chance to save this animal, but you did nothing....don't you care as much as you say"? Frankly, it may be wise for outfitters everywhere to come up with a unified plan to do this with elephant as well. Under such a plan, bought and collared (not just collared) elephant get a pass for everything except self-defense and in that case, the buyer gets his money back and maybe more.

Mr. Andrew, you have an incredible wildlife conservation story to tell as well. Former poached out communal lands now thriving with large carnivores, abundant plains game, fowl, etc. Congratulations! Well done sir. tu2
