Appears that it's only for the Matetsi area.

I'm pretty sure it's most of the area bordering Botswana

Thanks. I guess it was supposed to be opening up this year but may not be, and may not be next year either. Oh well, I've got my deposit in and I should be one of the first hunts when it does re-open. So it's looking gooood.

geese,

I'm pretty sure they are talking about opening up in 2007, I have a client that wants to go over for Lion and Lioness again.

Where are you hunting and if you don't mind me asking about whats it costing you

Widowmaker I'll be hunting along the NW border of Hwange and the border of Botswana.

Before I answer your next question, may I ask why you want to know? I'm not trying to be difficult, it just seems a little odd seeing as how you have a client? Well, at least one.

We can offer pretty decent odds on FULL-MANED wild (not canned) lion right now. $34.5K incl 14 days hunting. Adjacent to Kruger Park.

geese,

I was just wondering, I wanted to see how much some of the Lion hunts may or will go up after not hunting them for a few years. the guy that hunted with me, (I didn't Lion hunt) paid about 12 grand, without taking a lion, trophy fee was to be $4,500.00. We haven't gotten a price for a future hunt.

Nothing meant by that, just courious.

Yes, I am a Taxidermist. Nothing to do with the question

It's just Matabeleland North and south that are closed. LOTS of lion there though whenever they do reopen. That's the only thing I wanted I didn't get. I was all set and they closed the area a week before I got there. I put in 3 good years out of 8 trying though.
