Tonight at dinner a long time friend commented that a Best Quality Sidelock in not really necessary for hunting dangerous game.

What can be done to help him ?

Is there hope when someone has deteriated this far ?

Should we tell his family or is it too much for them to bear ?

He is right. For true 'hunting' of dangerous game a best quality sidelock or boxlock is "ESSENTIAL"! While I will concede that it is true that one can "shoot" DG with other implements, in respect of hunting I side with Hammer's friend!

In good hunting.

Saeed,
I remember you posting a photo of your favorite 375-404.....and my thoughts were:
shooting that rifle is like fooling around with an ugly fat chick - it is still fun and feels good - but who wants to be seen with it??????

There is a time and place for the pretty sidelock. Big Grin
