I live on the other side of the Atlantic ocean, yet had no problem catching Mickeys inside jokes. But then I've often been close to going to Hell. Wink

Ganyana, I must apoligize for the "snake" comments, that was uncalled for. I will however stand by my other statements.

Freischuetz - I have always been told to believe only 50% of what I see and 10% to 15% of what I hear and read. Which one or two items on your list should I take as the truth?

Interesting that all of us new members have to "pass" the "writing style" test by one of the members who is the law enforcement expert? By the way, I have no idea who you people are even talking about with the "cats" thing. Way before my time I guess? Later

If you only believe 10 to 15 percent of what you hear and read, are we to assume that school was totally wasted on you. bewildered

It's obvious by your comment where school was wasted!! Yea, my masters degree was all just a waste of time, money and energy. Oh well, I'll try and struggle by somehow.

My question still stands Mr. Sellers: if you only believe 10 to 15 percent of what you hear, and read, how do you learn? If what you're suggesting is valid, then there is no need for professors, or text books. Surely, that belief couldn't have helped earn you your masters degree. Even an undergrad could see that.

Later Larry,

Maybe what some people write is only 10-15% the truth. And that has been the problem on this thread from the beginning.

jorge you are correct I am new but I can pick a piece of work like you out of a lineup anyday.

Here's a tad of friendly advice, last I'll pass your way. Cut back on the caffine and walk real gentle around me as I don't bluff or "bust balls" as you put it.

If you wish to carryon with this lie that I am someone else I guess there isn't much I can do about that other than to suggest to the moderators your chit stirrring . But why not show all of us your facts. Cause until you do you are nothing less than a troll to me.

Jorge with all due respect, for a guy who claims to be a career officer in the proud tradtition of the US Military, you do engage in some pretty juvenile shit....

At least most of us others "past or present ball-busters" don't take ourselves so seriously.
By the way, as much as I hate to admit it, nice article in Safari times.

Me a Naval Aviator juvenile? Obviously some here haven't heard about Tailhook, pulling Liberty in Olongapo, "carrier quals" or the "phantom shitter" to name oh but a few.
Better yet, go rent yourself a great movie starring Robert Duvall called "The Great Santini," then we can discuss being juvenile.

Now when it comes to telling the truth, then we're as serious as landing fifty thousand pound jets at 130 knots plus on the pitching decks of aircraft carriers...at night. In addition to being juvenile, we're also tend to be egotistical. jorge

Jorge:

It's kind of like swatting mosquitoes in Tiger Swamp. The buzzing little turds are a pain in the ass, but they will always be there. After a while, you just forget about them, or it gets cold, or the wind blows or they get a life and go elsewhere.

Speaking of Tiger Swamp, Lee Davenport and I went by Jorge's Hole on Saturday. I tried to "drag" Lee in, but he was too wise. Come on up and I'll float your hat again!

You bring back great memories of my youth. As to Olongapo, anyone here been to Crazy Alice's? What about the kids in the Shit River diving for coins, and no, contrary to popular belief, I was not, and still am not, "the Phantom Shitter". I flew Skyhawks and flushed???? But I saw evidence that he existed. Darn unbelievable freak of nature!

And, believe it or not, Col. Conroy, the Great Santani, himself, was my first C.O. in the Corps.

I'm sorry I'm hijacking the thread, but those years of kicking tires and lighting fires called.

Well Ernest, us "turds" tend to float to the top when you try to drown us! While on the subject of Alice's, it seems we started a ruckus in there one time.... It had to do with taking a zippo lighter to stacked Phillipine Pesos and the "ladies" taking umbrage when they tried to pick them up with...never mind, there might be children here....jorge

Mr. Jhonson: How many people do you suppose land in Anchorage rent a rig and drive down rt#1 (?) to the Kenai's Russian River ferry crossing area to fish every year from June to September? BTW those were some great 'bows I caught in the upper Kenai and those Reds were THE BEST eating fish I've had the joy to consume but dull fishing for them.
Also I found humor in the fact someone would call a mountain range "Chew Gash" as we from the lower 48 call it Wink

Mr. Sellers I do apologize for having confused you as such, but you have to understand given the fact that you are new to the forum and sort of got started on the wrong foot with some, you were mistaken for that sociopath cats, who's since rejoined us under another name. I think 500/jorge is the same poster doing some slick false scent trail laying to toss the pack in another direction.
As 500grains he at least appears top have done some hunting. As jorge he claims to be a career officer, yeah right! like a career officer in the USA Armed Forces he has time and little class to peruse the internet message boards looking for arguements.

You've really got a lot to learn about who's who here. Jorge and 500grains have over 12,000 posts between them. You've got all of 18, and now you're the expert? Simply fricken amazin'! animal

Well,it appears it was easier than I thought to draw cats, I mean chugach in defense of one another. Cats, you really ought to try and improve your writing and syntax skills in an effort to disguise yourself.

Further, "cats" er, I mean chugach, you really need to get a better identity. Both from PA and with so-called Alaska ties and both poster's posts are for the most part contentious, antagonistic, offer little in the way of advice and are testament that even functional illiterates have access to computers. jorge

PS: I think 500gr will take umbrage at you confusing me with him.

This Safaris and Quilts thread and others piqued my interest in Ganyana and since I was in Zimbabwe within the last 20 days, I had the opportunity to ask a half dozen PH's about Ganyana, his experience, reputation and general character.

Every person asked spoke to his honesty and singlemindedness in concern for the future of Zimbabwe as a place where you could get an honest safari for an honest buck.

I have no idea if anyone has a licence in Zim or Mozambique or if they intentionally misled any authority in getting the same, but I believe that, at least according to his peers, Ganyana would never intentionally mislead a reader here. "A sick little man" is certainly not what anyone who knows him would seriously consider. "Hard, but fair" was the description given to me by more than one guy who knows him.

I'll bet he is 100 per cent correct with his allegations, but if not, he seems to be the kind of guy who would be the first to admit it.

I guess that we'll eventually see???

Since the allegations and defenses have been made, why don't we move on until someone is arrested, or better yet is convicted if guilty or aquitted if not. (And I pray for an honest person(s) to make that decision when so made.)
