The "african hunters cook book".

Says hang meat for 4 to 8 days at 2 to 4 degrees c.

Depending on size of animal or meat.

Corne. There is nothing wrong with a small to medium sized warthog either roasted or done on a spit. Just leave the big old boars alone.

Next time you walk past a domestic hog pen...toss in a dead jackal and watch what happens. Wink

What difference does it make what the animal eats? Do you eat fish? Do you eat chicken or in fact any wild birds? How about lobster?

All animals will eat anything that contains protein, just like humans. They will all eat carrion, and a chicken will eat human excrement like it was ice cream. Does that take fried chicken off the minue?

What animals eat is digested, making it sterile and turned into energy used up by the animal in question to stay alive.

I could understand the objection to swine in general for religeous reasons, but not beacuse of what they eat! Pork is pork, and a young warthog sow is about top of the line in camp table fare! tu2

And.......... One more question! Why did you shoot a jackel if you didn't want the trophy? At least the sow, and her litter made some use of the jackel! Confused

Personally, whilst I'm not keen on warthog I do love bushpig...... but I don't eat things that eat people such as cats, crocs or hyenas etc.

I appreciate that pigs will eat humans if given a chance but I'll take that risk for bushpig.... not for much else though.
