“Conservation is the wise use of a resource not it’s preservation !!”

Africa 2100 Reality Check !! Wildlife Management at the Crossroads -

The African Wildlife Management Challenge & Dilemma

“The 21st Century top priority & challenge is to understand that African Wildlife Conservation Ideology demands community Sustainable Utilization (SU), of selected wildlife species & their habitats, which must be practiced & achieved for their survival !! Obviously those in crisis like pangolin, okapi, gorillas, bonobo, chimpanzees, black rhino & many others need priority protection, which could vary per region per species or regional rarity or endangered priority”

“Sustainable Utilization is the critical 21st Century African Community Wildlife Management priority under increasing African, Arab, Islamic Radicals (Boko Haram, Al Shabaab & others), Military destruction (West Africa, CAR, DRC, Chad, Sudan, Mozambique Renamo), Asian & Oriental influence, and dire threat from endemic African corruption & collusion in Government, Conservation Authorities, aided by the Southern African “White” Poaching Mafia & pseudo bogus NGO’s.”

“The Anti-SU hypocrisy is fuelled by the dictatorial arrogance of ‘know-all’ Western US, UK, EU & “East African” Anti-Hunting, Animal Rights & Humane Activist group’s ignorant ideological, devious, fundraising propaganda, in particular the IFAW, IARF, HSUS & their many cohorts, whose tentacles have ensnared & negatively influenced some higher echelons in some African Governments, IUCN CITES & WWF- tarnishing whatever image they are supposed to uphold, in the devious pseudo-conservation corridors of hypocrisy & double-standards - many aloof, mainly, International Academics fall into this category ”

“This hypocrisy is exemplified in that the “AR’s” approve, or choose to ignore, the SU globally proven commercial farming of numerous, otherwise endangered species, including the Nile Crocodile, Ostrich, Blesbok, Southern White Rhino, Kangaroo, Emu, Alpaca & Llama, Red Deer, Elk, Pheasant, Mink, American Bison (Buffalo), Arribada turtles, Sturgeon, Salmon, Trout to name but a few species. Not forgetting the once wild domestic species like cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc; upon which the Planet’s peoples survive as their vital food source”

“It is vital to understand that on the SU road ahead, many facets contribute to this the only future solution to species extinction, including & embracing the vital need for Wildlife Sanctuaries & Private Game Reserves & Ranches; Eco-Tourism; Enviro-Education; Trophy & Sport Hunting; Bushmeat Utilization (poaching to some BUT hunting for survival to local communities), Biodiversity Usage & Management including firewood & thatching, wildlife culling or capture & relocation; plus approved Wildlife Products Trade (Centuries old including live animals, ivory, rhino horn, meat, hides & skins, bones, craft souvenirs, etc;Wink

“It is important to note that in the current climate of extreme poaching for ivory & rhino horn, the trade in these products is critical to raising vital, much needed Anti-Poaching Unit funding to combat this scourge. The demand from over 3 billion people in over 40 countries (Orient-14, S/E Asia-10, Arab States-8) is not going to cease because of ‘AR’ inspired propaganda promises”

“Africa must, and is, waking up to the threats and resisting this outside arrogant interference !!”

“It’s the 21st Century African Solution for African Wildlife Survival”

The Namibian example shows the way, not Botswana’s Anti-SU “AR” manipulated policies !!

- Tim Condon ~~

Postscript - “Namibia is committed to the sustainable use of wildlife resources, as is provided for in our national constitution. Sustainable use of wildlife resources is the result of good conservation and good wildlife management, and it is our collective interest to ensure that we use this resource sustainably.” - Namibia’s Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Secretary Simeon Negumbo

“For conservation to succeed in Africa, you can’t shove human rights aside for animal rights.”

- Richard Leakey (Game Changer Interview)
