To the best of my knowledge, Zim is probably your best bet. They do tend to be decently priced there, although your daily rate will be higher than a true PG hunt. I think you can shoot them on some game farms in South Africa as well. Tanz and Zambia both do not allow foreigners to shoot females. That leaves Namibia, Botswana, and Mozambique of the common hunting countries. I haven't hunted in them, so I will refrain on them, but I doubt Botswana is an option now.

The Tanzania Wildlife Conservation Act specifically prohibits the shooting of females which are "apparently pregnant or accompanied by their young" and the regulations are applicable to anyone (foreign or otherwise) who holds a valid hunting license. Some of us just prefer not to shoot females.

Thanks, JCS., As hunters we must all stick together to defend each other's legal hunting rights...Otherwise we become like the anti-s, judging whats " best" or what's "right" within our hunter's world...

The reply was not directed to the original poster but in response to CRBUTLER's post. Every member on AR is also free to express his/her opinion. Mine is the choice of whether to shoot females or not. In Tanzania it has always been abhorred and we have been brought up to respect that view. What other people think or do regarding the shooting of females is their right.

We were brought up that way in the U.S. also regarding shooting female deer. But it was quickly discovered that removing a portion of the females every year was necessary for quality game management and for the health of the species as a whole. Now in some states you MUST take a doe before you can harvest a buck. And not only is doe hunting fun, they are also quite tasty to eat!
