I just finished reading an article by Zig Mackintosh in the latest African Hunting Gazette entitled: The Eden Illusion: The Fate of Africa's Wildlife in a Post-COVID 19 World. Attached is the actual video documentary that was produced a while back and includes some of our own AR members and other notables such as: Andrew Baldry, Lin Stanton, Lance Nesbitt, Adam Clements, Tinie Kok, Richard Bell-Cross, and Buzz Charlton, among others. If you haven't watched it or been made aware of it, you must see it. The ongoing threat to wildlife and to the people and Professional Hunters of Africa still continues, even though there has been some return to hunting, post COVID. The documentary focuses on current hunting and financial issues confronting South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, and Tanzania due to COVID, and as they try to continue to rebound from the loss of hunting in 2020. See the link below to the video on You-Tube.

Very good. Thank you.
It's not only important to view, it needs to be shared with the general public. This message is well presented and could be a positive influence to chip away at misconceptions about Africa.
I will be sharing with my entire contact list.

Great video with excellent information.

I have convinced (3) of my friends to hunt Africa who are new to hunting actually. Africa will be their very first hunts.

We all need to bring more of our friends and family into the hunting culture, and videos like this can probably help in the cause.

I belong to a group of TaeKwon-Do instructors who are bringing 25 of our students to South Africa this year and next, to both hunt (for those interested)and to just sight see for those not yet ready to join our hunter ranks.

Thank you for sharing this video!

The video is very well done, honest, scientific, and truthful.

The problem however is…that means f***all to the people that are taking away our hunting through anti-hunting regulations (not legislation) and the people who fund them.

They could care less about wildlife…but bitterly HATE hunting and hunters.

They just cannot be battled with science and logic. Hence, I dismantled my conservation non-profit — the Lion Conservation Task Force, Inc.

They can only be battled with well heeled lobbyists…something I just couldn’t muster.

Very intelligent and thoughtfully-assembled piece. It's the time-worn story of the value of wildlife when economy is applied. Like others have mentioned, the importance of this discussion is completely lost on most who are anti-hunting. They simply can't fathom the idea of killing animals for money, no matter the indisputable positive effects of the process.

One of the issues with changing hearts and minds on hunting is the depth of the discussion that is necessary. It takes a good bit of time to fully explain the process (e.g. the hour long video), and few I've encountered are willing to sit and listen for that long. I can't explain sustainable hunting in a Twitter post.

Good video. The amount of land affected by these efforts is amazing. Great to see Calvin Cottar.

I have a visitor in my home from New England where there is a big uncared for horse problem. I was exposing the fact that there is “no place to go” anymore for horses that can be no longer cared for by their owners. While she understood; she still could not see the solution as acceptable. WE have as a people became slaves to the easy ways in life. We are fearful, or incapable of taking the steps required to actually solve problems.
Of course there is always a remnant of folks who retain the truth of these things. May they increase.

"The liberty enjoyed by the people of these states of worshiping Almighty God agreeably to their conscience, is not only among the choicest of their blessings, but also of their rights."
~George Washington - 1789
