My trophies from Zim are ready to be shipped. 2 crates totally 185 kgs. 3 shoulder mounts, 3 rugs and 4 european mounts. The cost for sea freight to NY, clearing customs and then shipping to El Paso, Texas is $2600. Does this seem out of line? Also, am I saving that much be going the sea route? Perhaps having them flown into Dallas and then trucking them a much shorter distance would come out about the same. ______________________ I'm not a great hunter...just a guy who loves to hunt.

I had hides, capes, skulls and horns shipped in one palleted-box from Zim to Alaska and my shipment was about $2300. There were a few additional charges because it was off loaded in Seattle where it shouldn't have been. So I had storage fees and transportation costs that should not have occurred. It's over now, though, and my critters are at the taxidermist now. This was in July of this year.
