I'm thinking of bring an Apple iPhone with me to Namibia. I've heard that the units purchased in the U.S. may not work in Africa unless they are unlocked and a specific SIM inserted. Also, the areas where I'll be hunting has sporadic internet and cell phone access. Does anyone have any experience with the iPhone in Africa? Namibiahunter .

Leave it at home. It is NOT going to work! Take a cheapo multi bank open phone instead.

namibiahunter, Buy a pay as go package at most any shop in Namibia and use the sim card in Ph's cell phone. Easy as that. Frederik Cocquyt I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.
