That should give a few itchy index fingers and a severe twitch in the right eye. Absolute beauts. tu2 If only more cows could be introduced to spread that gene pool. It is also a pity that this useless mob who purport to rule us, cannot control the squatter problem in that area. Cool

Tembe was actualy open for elephant hunting by special permita few years ago , due to the war in mozambique many of the bulls that came across were wounded and very hostile , so the government decided to auction off some trophy tags with the proviso they had to be injured animals - still some 90 plus pounders were taken , due to public pressure they stopped the program after about 2 years. When I was with Parks I was responsible for building the old tented camp which was privitized. These bulls were agressive as hell .

These 2 bulls aren't often seen together, they normally go their own way.

WOW!

Magnificent Tuskers!!

There should be a program in place to spread these and other big tuskers genes around by artificial insemination before this gene pool is gone!! Smiler

The two bulls in this photo are 2 of the three largest tuskers in Southern Africa. The third largest tusker also lives in Tembe. These 3 bulls are larger than any bulls currently living in Kruger Park. Park officials estimate the largest bull's tusks to weigh between 55 and 60 kilos.
