You mean details other than the fact that the concession is owned and operated by one Jocylin Chiwenga?

To answer the question with some old info, I hunted Matetsi 6 about 5 or 6 years ago and the camp was on the Zambezi River and bordered by Botswana on the West --- right near the Capri Strip. The camp was very, very nice. Elephant -- I wasn't hunting them but we saw bulls every day that were 50+ pounds and a couple that were, according to the PH, in the neighborhood of 70 pounds and someone had taken a big bull early in the season that was 80+ on one side and just over 90 on the other. Buffalo --- I took one that was 40'+ and we saw seeral more that were at least as large and one that was noticably larger -- they came over from Botswana to get to water. Sable --- I took one 41"+ and we saw several that were at least that large and one that would push 44" --- saw many that were just short of 40" --- there were plenty of sable. Kudu --- Only saw one that was 50"+ and he was just over 52" after we measured him on the ground. Lion --- We saw lion every day including one very large male that we hung some baits for a hunter that came into camp as I was leaving. He took it and it was hugh. Other than him, the other males weren't of trophy caliber. We saw lots of lioness. Leopard --- I took a nice one, the fellow I shared the camp with for a few days took one even larger and the fellow who shot the large lion took a smaller one right after we did. At one time we had 7 leopards on 6 baits -- 5 males and a mating pair. Other plains game -- lots of impala but what we saw were mostly "bait" size. Eland -- didn't hunt them very hard and only saw a few small ones. Warthog -- saw them every day but only 3 that were large enough to shoot. There were lots of baboons and the PH and I shot a bunch of them as they were very "cheeky" around the camp. Waterbuck were also abundant and while we saw several trohy-size bucks nothing larger than the one I had taken earlier. Bushbuck -- lots of sign but never saw a male I could get a shot at. I don't know what the game situation is now but back when I hunted it it was superb and I think it would have been a great place to hunt the Big 4 -- elephand, buffalo, leopard and lion. It's DB Bill and not Dr Bill although I will do breast examinations if ask. The company's name was Kasangula Safaris and here's a photo of the gang --- PH Brian van Blerk on the right and standing in the bed of the truck is Adam Clements before he started running Safari Tracker's who was the booking agent and stopped in camp to see how things were going. Both Brian, who now works for Adam, and Adam are super people to be around and Brian was a superb PH. Everything about the operation was 1st-class. The owner, was the Steyn family (owned a big curio business) and it was run by Sean who was unfortunately killed in a motorcycle accident in South Africa a few years ago. I understand his widow has been trying to keep things afloat with mixed sucess. DB Bill aka Bill George
