| No but I did the Dande in May last year. That is never going to happen again. It was way to thick for decent hunting.

| I hunted tuskless elephant cow in May in Makuti with Buzz Charlton two years ago. It was very exciting as the grass was very tall and you had to get in close with the herds. I wasn't trying for any plains game as it would be difficult in the heavy cover. We did put some elephant out to bait hyenas. I didn't get a hyena, but we saw three different leopard come in to feed. I would stick to DG only that time of year.

| I expected it to be thick, maybe too thick to hunt...focus would be elephant bull/buf. |

| You'd probably be ok for Ele and buf only. I simply despise hunting in those super thick condition. I like to have a visibility and be able to take in the sights. If it were me I'd definitely wait for a for a more prime time of the season.

| I sort of like the green season. It allows you to get much closer to the elephants or buffalo and they don't seem to travel as far, meaning shorter tracking times. Also it is much the best time for leopard or big elephant bulls. Much of how thick it is depends on how much rain they have had. On draught years it isn't any thicker than August.

| Generally, January and early February are the wetest months but you can get occasional thunder storms through March and April. March is usually a good time for big bulls because since it is wet the bulls roam more and are more likely to come out of the National Parks. As it dries many elephants return to the Parks where water is typicaly more available.

| I did Charisa the last week of March and the first two of April. It was hot, muggy and thick. I liked the heavy brush. Lots of cover and you really got up close. I did leopard and building a hide was easy, everything was thick. |
