I am leaving for Namibia on Friday. I wanted to say thank you to all of you here. You inspired me to take this trip and the knowledge that I have gained through all of you has been magnificent. I can truthfully day that I wouldn't be taking this trip (my 1st) if it hadn't been for AR. I promise a full report upon my return.

P.S. - I am flying Lufthansa from Denver to Frankfurt Friday evening and Air Namibia from Frankfurt to Windhoek on Saturday evening. Anybody else on these flights?

Who are you hunting with and where? I'm going over on the 9th and 10th, but United in the States and SAA from Dulles to Johannesburg and Windhoek. I will be with Johann Veldsmann just southwest of Otjiwarongo.
I will owe a similar debt of thanks to all the guys here on the AR forums for sharing their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm.

I want to second the thanks for the encouragement and my appreciation for all of the information provided.

I will be leaving Monday for a plainsgame hunt in South Africa. It's not nearly so exotic as some, but it is a start. Much of the information provided here guided me in my selection of weapons- a 9.3 x 62 and a 7x 57 will be accompaning me to South Africa.

I will say that this is a bit momentous for me since this is my first time out of the Continental U.S. The anticipation is somewhat unbearable- between making sure that I have my gear squared away, and wondering what the sights, sounds, scenary and experience will be like. Can hardly wait!

I think it is important to let members of this forum know that you contributed greatly in terms of advice, encouragement, and a great sense of adventure and joy, even if you didn't always know that you did. I'll make sure that we have pictures and a story to share upon my return. Again, many thanks.
