Anyone know what the process is to ship trophies form Zim to RSA? I would like to send any trophies I take in Zim this fall to a taxidermist in RSA and then have them sent home with trophies I take in RSA next year...

Do we have to do a full dip and pack like we do to bring them to the states?

If your taxidermist in RSA is worth his salt he should know the procedure inside out, if not then be wary....

Universal Trophy Services in Pretoria do this on a regular basis

Scott: Just ask your outfitter to have them shipped to your taxidermist in South Africa, done it a couple of times...no problems.
They have to be dipped in Zim to get the needed vet certificate to ship and the SA taxidermist can handle the rest.

I have used Andy Hunter (here on AR) to ship my trophies from Zim to Life Form Taxidermy in White River South Africa, many times. Life Form and Andy have regular communications and get everything arranged and taken care of without a hitch. Using a well known taxidermist, they know (as does Andy) what permits need to be applied for and what paperwork needs to be completed. I have had absolutely no issues when using the two of them.
