I saw Jim Shockey's show on the mtn. Nyala of Ethiopia and it is quite an impressive animal. Maybe twice the size of the regular nyala but without the shaggy coat. I think it rivals the Bongo and Lord Derby's Eland in trophy aspects.

Mountain Nyala is an absolute amazing trophy. And along with Bongo and Lord Derby Eland make one incredible trophy collection.
the hunt itself as an amazing experience, at altitudes of over 11, 000ft it rivals and of the great sheep hunts of the world.

here is a link to some of our Nyala from October this year.

Gentlemen and ladies, well worth the price of admission, as a friend once said "Been there done that and have the T-shirt." It is awesome to say the least.

Frankly, I think there are more than a few people out there with BOTH a Bongo and LDE....still dreaming about that Mountain Nyala hunt that might happen "someday".

Size wise...we weighed a couple a few years ago. They both went into the 770 pound range.
They are bigger than you think.
