If one is flying into RSA on SAA (J'burg) with the final destination being Port Elizabeth, (changing planes) still on SAA.Do you have to go through Customs and the SAPS at J'burg? or do you do it in Port Elizabeth when you arrive there?

You have to go through customs and get your firearms permit issued at Jo'burg, before continuing to any domestic location in RSA. You will have to leave the international terminal and walk to the domestic terminal to make your connection.

Terry

Bob, When you arrange for your flight be sure to leave a few hours layover time in jo'burg. It can take a little while to get the permits completed and you do not want to be rushed.
