These are three of my bolt rifles:
1) Holland and holland on a P-14 action
2) Westly Richards 425
3) Jeffery 404 with a less than authentic restocking.

You are killing me Adam... beautiful set of .425's! One an original and the second a neat custom...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Your 425 is beautiful! I really like the wood on the original stock. It has that simple, well used look.

But that barrel..... I looked at it about 25 times the last time you posted photos and I have not tired of looking at it. That is one sweet piece of steel. Thanks for sharing.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I don't know if this really fits the bill- but an american representative:

1947 Griffin and Howe .375H&H, built new and bought restocked from G&H in 1947 with a 1946 cloverleaf tang model 70 action.

And doing what it was born to do

I suspect you are referring to bolt guns - Mausers specifically.
Here are a few of my own:

How about this 425 Westley

William Evans 404

George Gibbs Magnum Mauser in 280 Ross

Mahillon 416 Rigby

W.J. Jeffery 333
