You are killing me Adam... beautiful set of .425's! One an original and the second a neat custom... On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. Ozhunter Your 425 is beautiful! I really like the wood on the original stock. It has that simple, well used look. But that barrel..... I looked at it about 25 times the last time you posted photos and I have not tired of looking at it. That is one sweet piece of steel. Thanks for sharing. I don't know if this really fits the bill- but an american representative: 1947 Griffin and Howe .375H&H, built new and bought restocked from G&H in 1947 with a 1946 cloverleaf tang model 70 action. [/IMG] And doing what it was born to do [/IMG]

its an east african eland from the selous I have a couple more pics somewhere. I'll post them on the hunt reports forum so we don't hijack this thread. Is it a big one? He was a fighting bugger- his eyelid was ripped off, and his tail was gone but he tasted great!
