I was just talking to a friend at the sci convention and and he heard that USFWS is starting a ban on elephant trophies from South Africa????

Has anyone else heard anything like this????

Supposedly the justification is the Chinese are getting their house in order, so we should also.

The info I got is that it is not a Ban but a "review" to make sure all managements plans are in place, however who knows!!

The Chinese ban is window dressing. Business as usual inside. And the ARA are not bright enough to see that all bans do is drive trade underground.
