Well its 40 hrs. until we(myself and Hunter's Wife to Be here on AR) leave on the big SAA flight to Jo'burg, then on to Harare, then a charter to the Dande Safari Area with CM Safaris. Rich Tabor will be our PH and we will be after cape buff, hippo and croc and maybe a plainsgame or two. This will be Hunter's Wife to Be first hunt/safari of any description and she will be after a nice cape buff.I will be after the hippo and croc. Hopefully this will be the first of many great adventures we share together. We will do a full report when we return and hopefully include some great photos(she's a great photographer). Thanks to AR's own Steve Robinson(shakari),Mark Young and L. David Keith. All three answered tons of questions, gave great insight and information and were just plain good to talk with even though we did not book through any of them.So in the next 2 weeks it would be greatly appreciated if you could send some go vibes to the Dande so that the wind stays true, the hunters shoot straight and everyone is safe.
Thanks
Wesley

Good luck Wesley. We follow you in to Dande- very next hunters. Buzz said he will have me 5 leopard baits up around the 23rd or so, so you guys might get to shoot them for me? What are your actual hunt dates, and I assume you are going to Moz for the hippo/croc? I am sure you will have a grand adventure...

Good Hunting,

Not just "any" lady, at that! A beauty who is willing to learn about what her sweetheart loves.

Good for the both of you and I hope you have smooth sailing the whole trip!

Wes, you and yours will truly experience the best of Africa, not only the beauty of the wilds and the excitement of the hunt, but the warmth, softness, and comfort of your mate at night. Hey you two...make sure the only screaming and moaning late at night over there is from the BUSH BABIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't be greener about it! I hunted Dande North with Chifuti in 2008. CM now has those camps. It is absolutely incredible. Wish I were going with you.

I shot hippo, buff and croc. There are literally hundreds of croc and hippo. Such a good time and such a beautiful area.

Best of luck. If I put the pieces together right you are in Greenwood, SC near my old stomping grounds. I used to shoot a lot at Harris Springs when Donnie Roth ran it but now I have moved north. Curious if you know him.

Anyway, best of luck to you.

May the wind stay true for you.
I enjoy my safari the most when my wife shares the trip with me. You are both fortunate.
We met Ritchie at Makuti last year. He's a good guy. Please greet him for us (Marty and Sue.) Just tell him I'm the guy who left the 470 handloads for him.
All the best.
