ALF, That Johannsen Magnum Mauser looks like a great action. How do you like it? I would love to have a couple rifles built on true magnum mauser actions. I was thinking either a Johannsen, Granite Mountain or Hartmann & Wiess. They seem like the top dogs as far as true reproductions of the magnum mauser goes. I hear the Hartmann & Weiss is an especially nice action but very hard to get and expensive. Regards, Dave

I like that. It's very clean and functional looking with not a lot of "fluff".

I wouldn't know, being left handed I don't own any, but with Charles Daly importing lefties this year I'll get a chance to find out.

Perfection absolute perfection.... All of my serious rifles are on winchester CRF actions. And one double rifle. I think I need a square bridge mauser just to be a complete man....

Actually, Fjold, Frank Wells makes/made a left-hand magnum Mauser action. I didn't know it until this past weekend when I saw one made up into a very nice .416 Hoffman. Funky scope mount, though, with 'see-under' bridge to allow use of the irons. Unfortunately, the stock was also built for irons, so your head's so far above the comb when using the scope I'll bet that puppy would slap your cheek like yo' mama used to do!

Johannsen also make their action in Lefty. I have one in the 'smith right now.
