I have shot lots of them, many big rams. When working with forestry in Transvaal we had to cull them 'cause bushbuck destroyed our young tress. Some compartments had to be re-planted several times.

After three trips to Africa I have yet to shoot a bushbuck. Maybe next time.

They are wonderful critters to hunt...remind me a lot of hunting whitetails in some ways.

When I shot my Cape Bushbuck, it came out with another male. The mature younger ram had longer horns by at least 1 1/2" but was indeed colored like Limpopo BB. The one I took was an old almost black warrior with the rib worn off in front and the tips worn down. Teeth were about gone also. He was just over 14". I consider him one of my finest trophies!
