Hello everyone, is there any hunting in angola? are there any outfitters there?
I know they just got out of a long civil war but I have to go on business and figured a nice safari after the business was done would be fun.......

Don't know about the hunting, but definitely good fishing.

I don't know for sure, but contact Vaughan Fulton at Fultonclassicsafaris.com for more info. His lovely wife Patricia is Portugese and has family there with connections. I know Vaughan is interested in possibly starting a hunting concession in Angola, but it would be in the distant future.

After 27 years of civil war and the widespread use and high concentration of landmines throughout the countryside, most people aren't heading out into the bush...

Demining Angola is a Herculean project. Princess Di was heavily involved in it years ago, but I haven't been there in years and don't know the current status of the program. Mines and unexploded ordinance are definitely a hazard.

Vaughan Fulton's wife works for a company heavily involved in the demining project. If I remember correctly, she recently told me that if the demining program continues at its current pace, it will be approximately 2050 before it will be safe.
