Just curious, I know in some African countries, you can't do this, but in Tanzania, can you bring in 2 different rifles, of the same caliber, for a safari? IE: Ruger #1 .375 with an reciever sight, and a Win. Mod. 70 .375 with a scope. Mad Dog

It is my understanding that you can take a zillion of the same caliber but....there best be a zillion different names to match the permits. One caliber under one persons name. The second rifle would need to be under a different name. You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

Tnazania have no restrictions. I have taken two rifles, both of our own 375/404, the past couple of years and had no problems at all.

I have not had this happen before, however, Tanzania rifle import permits go by the make, model and serial #. So I would not think it would be a problem. Best, Phil www.go-on-safari.com Professional Hunter - Tanzania
