My brother just arrived in the last 4 days from Zim. His wife is to follow him shortly in another 4 days. He was getting ZWD$85000.00 to £1.00 He thaught he had sold his house in Harare , but the deal stopped when it was published that ALLL land had now been Nationalised a few eeks ago. We know the farms have been like that for some time but it now applies to resedences in all Towns. My wifes mother who lives in Bulawayo got a letter telleing her she has to be off the property by the 5th November 2005. My cousin who own's Kariba Breezers Hotel has received the same letter in Kariba for his Home. My Uncle was fully booked this year with hunts and is for next year and say's he is uncertain as to what will happen between now and then. Just thaught I would let you all know the news I got today. no not at all, if you have seen what happened in Zim and know/love people there first hand who have been hurt by the actions of the Zim govt you would have very strong feelings as well. I employ over 500 black people who are great people, i only listen to rap music and have no hatered towards any culture, infact i love all cultures it makes life interesting. the reason for my choice of words is based solely on th atrocity that has occoured in Zim and its the strongest language I can think of to use towards that specific group of thugs, it inst their race that angers me its their actions. Language like that exists for a reason and shouldnt be used loosely I was reluctant to make that post but the shoe fits. I have many friends on this board and have been absent recently I am well respected here I hope I dont lose anyones respect but I couldnt refrain from saying it, it hurts me, i have what I consider extended family right in the middle of the peoblems, and trust me they say things much harsher-rightfully so. Being PC is some american invention that I dont subscribe to. It should have been said long ago and I thought today was the day, sorry about the spelling, I missed that class. | |||

Eric, I was in Zim in July and have been traveling to Africa for hunting and medical missions at least once a year for the past eleven years. I have watched the whole thing unfold in person. I have many friends in Zim (black and white) who have been hurt by this regime. However, your comments are bigoted regardless of what you say. It is a pity you don't see that.I have no love for the politics in Zim, but to resort to the kind of name calling and street talk like that has no place on a forum like this. My fourteen year old son logs on to this site and I'm trying my best to raise him to be above using that sort of language. Oh by the way, I doubt if you care, but did it ever occur to you that while you were slinging epithets at Bop Mugabe you might have hit some of the members of this forum ? Geronimo | |||

I do enter the Greencard lottery every year. I have some family there and many good friends too , mainly Marines that I have worked close with on opporational duties. Best regards to all. This from the online "Mail & Guardian" certainly suggests that one need not be white to qualify as racist. "A leading Zimbabwean Cabinet minister vowed at the weekend to rid the country of the "filth" of white farmers. Didymus Mutasa, the Minister for State Security and Land Reform, said all remaining white farmers must be "cleared out". About 400 white families are still farming in Zimbabwe, following the seizure by President Robert Mugabe's government of more than 4 000 farms. Mutasa, one of Mr Mugabe's closest advisers, referred to Operation Murambatsvina ("Clean out the trash" in Shona) -- the campaign in which the government destroyed the homes of hundreds of thousands of urban poor. "Operation Murambatsvina should also be applied to the land reform programme to clean the commercial farms that are still in the hands of white farmers. White farmers are dirty and should be cleared out. They are similar to the filth that was in the streets before Murambatsvina," said Mutasa, according to the state-controlled Sunday Mail newspaper. The government also announced it had annulled more than 4 000 court challenges by farmers to the expropriation of their farms. Last week Mugabe signed a constitutional amendment taking away the farmers' rights to legally challenge land seizures. "All the challenges are now useless -- they are all being nullified," said the chief law officer in the attorney general's office, Nelson Mutsonziwa." | |||

I just returned yesterday from my first hunt in Zim. I was amazed at the conditions, the queys of locked cars awaiting for petrol 50 to 100 cars, the empty shelves in the stores. Our tracker and skinner could find meally maze (spelling) in any of the towns we stopped in on our way from Beitbridge to the Omay. Yes there are Niggers (Robert Mugabe) and there are black people our tracker and skinners and other staff in camp. It is only a matter of time until Zim is a vast waste land, the hunting industry may survive but without some positive changes I doubt if it will. I spoke with some of the blacks who spoke english and they told me of their plight and it is not a good one. All in all it is very sad, I can only image what it was like 25 yrs ago BRM. | |||

Die Ou Jagter I went on my first Safari in 1999, things in Zim were very good. Plenty of food and fuel. The animals were all over, everywhere you were lots of critters, never saw any sign of poachers. Sickening what one man, (sorry, he's not a man) what one peice of _ _ _ _ can do in 6 years!!!! I got to enjoy Zim at it's best, I've gone over just about every year since, I see a change each time.. Eric, I respect your view. Everytime a politician (in RSA) makes a public appearance they complain about what apartheid did and how the whites must rectify it. They always tell us what to do and they hold us responsible for everything that went wrong in the past. Most of the whites I know is very helpfull towards black people and respect them for what they are. Almost all white politicians works towards reconciliaion and ask the whites to be part of RSA and make it work. Unfortuneately the black politicians do not do that. That is the problem in Africa. Uncle Bob is is just as bad or even worse than the biggest oppressors in the world. Life is how you spend the time between hunting trips. ZANU-PF has been confiscating privately owned buildings for several years. Now they are just starting to do it systematically. I think Murderer Bob thinks that when the last "white flith" is thrown out of Zimbabwe, that the world will no longer care what happens there. He is probably right. ZANU-PF is carring out a very systematic plan that was most likely devisied before it was put into action, one example is: Part 1: Take the land from the white people and give it to who it belongs too-which dosent sound all that bad to the majority of Africa and dosent raise too many eye-brows at the UN etc, because if it does ZANU can play the race card earily. So since no one did the land grab went rather smoothly and lots of people moved to the UK and Bob gets the dirt. Part 2: The reciepents of the land cant farm it correctly and a drought(good luck for ZANU) happens and there are food shortages, withhold food aid at the same time and now Bob can successfuly argue that while they had the best intentions for the indeginious people things didnt work out and they must eat so to fix the problem we MUST nationalize the land. How do you like that? take it from the owners give it to helpless people and take it back from them to save them from themselfs-at the end of the day Bob steals the country from its owners with out raising too many eyebrows, the Iraq situation and Osama helped him too because the worlds attention was diverted to those issues. To me it sounse like a well organized way to steal a country from its owners quietly and slowly but effictivly.
