He was my father in law and I am heartbroken.

He lurked here way more than he posted, so I wouldn’t imagine many would recognize his online name.

He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed.

He loved firearms in general as well as hunting. He lived and hunted vicariously through many of the posts and hunt reports here.

He hoped against hope to return to Africa once again, but that unfortunately never happened.

Thankfully, it was sudden and painless.

Our entire family was on vacation, and while on one hand, that sounds horrible, we were all together and that was a tremendous blessing.

Thank you Saeed for your site, as it brings pleasure to more people than you can imagine. My father in law was one of them.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Sincerest condolences. He is at peace and in a better place. It is the living who suffer the emotional pain of separation. But the separation is only temporary.

Remember the good times. I don't know whether he got to Africa or not. Many of us here long to go and if we are lucky and life doesn't get in the way, we may get there once and long to go again. In the mean time, our friends here take us with them.
I'm sorry for your family's loss.

He did!

PG in Namibia in 2014 or so. He had a great time and enjoyed sitting in his den with his trophies and reliving it for years.

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences.
