I was quoted 5000 for 2009 by a well known operator here. It is a huge bump from the 3500 that has been about the number for a year or two. Could it be a case of "Tanzanitis"?

Daniel, For 3 different areas the trophy fees are $3500, $3750 and $4000. Daily fees to include a sable are higher also. Areas were you have a real chance of getting a very big sable are going to be quite expensive. Mark MARK H. It is considering you have already paid the day rate. Also 21 days is an awful long time to be hunting plains game in any country. You could add a buffalo for five grand.

A 25 days safari for plainsgame is a lot of time unless you are only hunting with bow. 5000$ for a sable is quite expensive unless we are speaking of 42 or plus. Something more fair would be 3500 to 4000$. I have been 8 times in zim in the last 5 years.i even celebrated with 2 friends and my father my bachelors party there so i know a part of the country quite well. I have hunted even two elephants in 1o days so 21 days for plains game is a bit too much. Hope i have been of any help
