Hey all, just an FYI, my outfitter at Adventure Unlimited (excellent.company) has just informed me of a change in CDC regulations, now requiring Yellow Fever shots for travel to and from Zambia.

I'll be there in less than three months!

I don't think it's a change in the CDC regs, since nothing to that effect has been published. Also, it looks like the requirement is just for people passing through South Africa.

Hi check out the link below for a very recent update of the yellow fever map in Africa

http://www.nathnac.org/pro/images/YF2011_Africa.GIF

Risk management
Travellers should take mosquito bite avoidance measures. Aedes mosquitoes feed predominantly during daylight hours.
Yellow fever vaccine is generally not recommendedMost travellers at very low risk. Consider vaccine for those with prolonged, repetitive mosquito exposure. for travellers to North Western and Western provinces.
Yellow fever vaccine is not recommended for other areas of the country.

Under International Health Regulations (2005), there are no yellow fever vaccination requirements for any traveller visiting this country.

Matt
