Mike, Sorry for the tough luck. I feel a little guilty . . . like I used it all up. But, as Vaughan probably told you, there should be another problem lion declared north of Etosha some time soon. He's a confirmed cattle killer. And he's incredible, a magnificent lion. I saw him up close, and he's a twin of the big bruiser I took last month. I've been lucky enough for a lifetime on lions. Two big ones in two years. I don't know if I'll ever take another one. But if you want a great lion, the lion of a lifetime, then save your pennies, and when this one is declared a problem, book twenty one days with Vaughan to chase him. You won't regret it, even if you do come home empty handed. Nothing short of sneaking up on elephants in the thick stuff can come close to putting on your boots and stalking a lion.

Mike, Tough luck but the right attitude. Cat hunting anywhere, especially lion, in Africa today is tough! No such thing as a sure bet. Just remember, it will make success all the sweeter when it does come. Hope you find it the next trip over the big pond!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I am stubborn like a mule and will keep trying. Mike I took pictures of your lion to Vaughan and he loved them, I also showed them to several people during my travels and you received praise from all. Mike
