In Burkina there is this place called Bazule where you can sit on wild crocs and buy chickens from the locals and feed them! When I went the water in the little lake had dried up quite a bit but there were quite a few crocs around on the shore. I didn't think the croc would take too kindly to me sitting one him so opted to just be friendly and sit at his side, I dunno maybe it was a girl . Our driver was a bit more daring!!! A pretty cool experience, while not really monsters, I bet one could easily do enough damage to one!!! Arjun Reddy Hunters Networks LLC 30 Ivy Hill Road Brewster, NY 10509 Tel: +1 845 259 3628

In Cairns, Australia there is a crocodile farm I don't remember the name of (actually north of Cairns). Anyway we were standing next to the fence of some crocs that were swimming and I told my kids and Cheri that they should get away from the fence. Puzzled look from my wife, but she obliged and we then went on a boat tour. They fed some big 12-16 footers on the boat tour and most of their body was out of the water excepting the tail when they fed them these chickens on a pole. They have impressive athletic prowess above what you would think.

Yes, I've been to a big croc farm in Zimbabwe as well. Same thing. Fed the monsters a chicken from a pole, with the crocs coming nearly all of the way out of the water to grab the chickens. Also got to hold some small crocs that they were raising. I've never sat next to one or on one, unless I had shot it dead. Saeed probably has some croc stories with the crocs that he raises.

As a kid we had a 2’ one caught in our backyard. Kept it till 9’. Never missed a fish or chicken thrown to it. Would come for food when you clapped hands. Was used in the first ads of a crocodile alongside a model for skin cream. During one ad shoot during the heat of the day, when everybody took a break, the fellow we gave it to lay down in the shade. Croc sauntered over and lay down on his chest, chin to chin!

In The Gambia there is a similar pool which our birding guide took us to see. Green scummy pool surrounded by 6 foot crocs. Some you could stroke, one big male we were advised not to. Legend has it that if a women swims in the pool it cures infertility. My wife lacked enthusiasm and I couldn't persuade her to take a dip. Being over 60 might have been her excuse.

Far as I'm concerned: There ain't no damned way! Years ago I was at our local zoo and looked over a 40" wall into the pit. A croc about 5-6' made a jump at me. Came within two feet of my face. That's plenty for Old Georgie boy! yes I am! George "Gun Control is NOT about Guns' "It's about Control!!" Join the NRA today!" LM: NRA, DAV, George L. Dwight
