As Lane said, back on... for now.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

It actually never stopped in many areas...only a few that had discrepancies.

Hunting has never been interupted in the Karamoja since hunting was initially reinstated.

They actually have a fairly wide range of species including the above, plus cape buffalo, leopard, lesser kudu and many more but not all species occur in all areas....... for those interested in the small antelope and the record book, I'd bet that sooner or later a world record Guenther's dik-dik will be taken there.

They also have different sets of game laws for different areas and a few other unusual game laws such as leopard only being allowed to be hunted on a PAC permit....... even the term PAC has a slightly different definition to most other parts of Africa.

For all that, Uganda is a truly remarkable hunting destination...... maybe not for everyone but for those that can handle it, a truly wonderful destination. tu2

Just out of curiosity where in Uganda are Lesser Kudu on licence/quota?

Although lesser kudu do occur in the mid and lower Karamoja...they have been removed from quota for the time being pending population studies.

I just spoke about Uganda with Craig Boddington and he indicated the trophy quality was very good and the country looked promising.
