I've been a life member for a long time, but a similar reduced cost offer was extended for an upgrade from Patron to Benefactor Life Member. Sent the paperwork off just a few days ago.

Did the same and the NRA is willing to spread the cost over 5 years if you give them a credit card. $25 a quarter.

Bought my life membership in the early 70's. I was in college and remember making monthly payments until paid off. Go N.R.A.

Thanks for the heads up! Earlier today, I upgraded from yearly membership to life membership.

They do that occasionally. I have upgraded my NRA membership from Life member, all of the way up to Benefactor member status on their discounted upgrades. A few years back they offered life memberships for $300 and I bought them for all three of my sons. Best investment in the Firearms/Outdoor organizations that I made!

These are good deals. And I've upped my status, and bought life memberships for family members, several times this way.

But I always end up feeling like a bit of a cheapskate and so write make-up checks, and even contribute more, later.

Especially this year. The fight we have on our hands right now needs every penny that all of us can come up with.
