Gosh, I don’t know the year, but I recall going when it was by DFW airport when I was a wee kid and I’m 43 now.

It is amazing how it has grown since mad much of it is due to the volunteers who make it happen.

I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

If I recall, my first attendance at DSC was in '85 or '86.

From the attached link. Numerous photos from the Convention. Looks like a huge turn out.

You may not know it, but this year marks our 40TH convention! Currently dsc is presenting gifts to all exhibitors who have been here since the first. I wonder if they knew what this show would become back then. #dscshow2020

I go back 30 years to when it was at the Hyatt Regency by the airport. The next year I believe it was moved to Dallas Market Hall...I met Clayton Williams there that year. TX Governor elect Ann Richards was there as well

I was visiting with past DSC president Richard Allen and this topic came up. I attended first time I believe in 1985 or 86 when it was at airport. Capstick had a booth and was signing books, still have a pic taken with him. Booked Okavango and Chobe hunt in 1988 and haven't been the same since. I've made some not so smart decisions in my life but that wasn't one of them. Money well spent on that one trip and many more since then.

I think I started attending the DSC show about 3 years before my son was born. He will be 21 years old in a couple months. So I guess I've been to the last 23 or 24 shows.

It is amazing how much it has grown.
