I didn’t either until about 3 weeks ago and now I know at least a dozen people that either have or have had the virus. Sort of crazy. Karl Evans

Karl, The big difference between now and last spring is that now doctors know much more about how to treat it, much better than than last spring. Now, nearly everyone who gets COVID but isn’t elderly with co-morbidities survives and recovers in a timely manner.

Karl, I hope DSC will not cancel. What do you think? I have air tickets and hotel. ...I say that hunters go into Paradise when they die, and live in this world more joyfully than any other men. -Edward, duke of York ". . . when a man has shot an elephant his life is full." ~John Alfred Jordan "The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero - 55 BC "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." - Ayn Rand Cogito ergo venor- KPete “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own self-interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.” ― Adam Smith - “Wealth of Nations”

I can only speak for myself, but my thought are the show will be cancelled. My opinio nonly, I know the DSC Pres and ED are currently planning on the show happening and they are working every angle to make it happen. There are several reasons I think this, current Dallas County Covid restrictions will make it very hard to have a large convention (areas that require disinfecting, social distancing at registration and other areas, plexiglas barriers at specified locations, limited numbers of attendees at banquets, this could change if the number of cases decreases but they have been on the rise for the past couple of weeks in North Texas) and make a profit. Many outfitters simply can't afford to come to the US for one show (The Western Hunting & Conservation Expo hasn't been cancelled but the dates are the same as DSC)and some are fearful of getting here and not be able to get back into their home country, others are concerned about having few if any hunt dates to sell for 2021 after having rolled most hunts from 2020. Still other outfitters have as yet been unable to apply for a visa (Zimbabwe) though some have been told there will be a "one day" application process and others have been told that this isn't the case...government, and have to have a visa to visit the US. I, personally, am afraid there will be a lack of young hunters or potential hunters due to parents being cautious (can't blame them). Still, I will be there as a volunteer if the show happens and look forward to seeing AR friends (well, at least as much I can see of them wearing a mask). Karl Evans

A mask? I thought Texas was still a free country. Crap. ...I say that hunters go into Paradise when they die, and live in this world more joyfully than any other men.
