dogcatSo, when do you all leave for Tanzania? Soon?
Can I help Walter pack? He obviously does not have much to do right now....
Have fun..

MacD37Walter don’t fret, Saeed is just jealous because you shoot bigger animals than he does! If you want to shoot a 123-129# elephant go ahead, and use your Blaser to do it!

DLSI can only imagine the look on the faces of Saeed, Roy and Alan if Walter did indeed shoot such an elephant.
Roy would be muttering to himself clear to the grave...

SaeedOne year in Zimbabwe, Walter and his son were with us as we got to a waterhole in the morning to check for elephant tracks.
We found what we believed the tracks of 9 bulls, so decided to follow them.
Walter Junior asked if he could come along with us.
We followed those elephants for several hours, finally meeting with them.
Trouble was, we could only see three. What happened to the other six no one knows.
We walked back to the truck, and Walter Junior was getting a bit tired.
When we got to the truck, Walter said :
"What happened?"
His son answered "we found three elephants"
"You followed 9, what happened to the other six?" He asked Roy.
Roy "They got lost!"
"Bloody hell, how can you LOOSE 6 elephants? Do you know how much meat that is? Tons and tons of meat, and you lost them all!"
On another occasion, we followed some elephants, did not find any shootable bulls with them, and got back to the truck, minus one of our trackers.
He apparently got lost!
So the next time we stopped at a waterhole and decided to follow some elephants, Walter said:
"Saeed, don't go with him! One time he lost 6 elephants. Another time he lost his tracker. Now he will loose you too!"

Bwana Nderobo,
Thank you very much. About time someone got a snicker out of this cartoon.

This is a re-worked idea from Gary Larson's "The Far Side," penciled by moi.
