Well, she's from California. Probably wanted to marry the giraffe. Oh? Not possible? When was the last time you walked down Post St. in San Francisco on a late Friday night?

I knew a woman from Florida (a hunter by the way) that had her forearm broken by a giraffe (a compound fracture) while on a farm in Zimbabwe. She went with the owners to see and pet a baby giraffe. She ended up being taken to the hospital in South Africa and having surgery performed to pin her forearm back together. Ruined her safari.

years ago, a zookeeper in memphis was kicked in the head by a mad momma giraffe. can't remember if she died or not. If I were a lawyer, I would gather up those fools and file a class action suit against Disney. Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

found it From the Times Daily, Dec, 2, 1996 MEMPHIS, TENN. A zookeeper who was kicked unconscious by a mother giraffe has died after 20 years in a coma, her parents said. Debbie Blackwell was 27 when she and other zookeepers tried to free a 4-month-old giraffe that had caught its neck is a stockade-like fence at the Memphis Zoo in 1976. The baby giraffe's mother, Candy, knocked Blackwell down and kicked her repeatedly, sending her into a coma. She never regained consciousness. Blackwell died Friday of complications from pneumonia at her parents' home in New Orleans, said her father, Ed Blackwell. ---------- Staff, Associated Press Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

sadly, stories such as this perpetuate the disneyesque personification many have of wild animals http://townhall.com/news/world...-zoo-worker-n1813054 Giraffe licks dying zoo worker AP News | Mar 22, 2014 Share on Facebook AMSTERDAM (AP) — A giraffe gave a lick to a dying man who asked as a last wish to be taken to Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he had done odd jobs for 25 years. Mario Eijs, who is mentally disabled, had developed a brain tumor and had difficulty walking or speaking. He wanted to pay a final visit to the co-workers and animals he loved. The Stichting Ambulance Wens offers free transport to terminally ill patients. Several giraffes became curious when Eijs was brought to their inside enclosure on March 19. "Mario got a lick on his nose after a lot of snuffles," Foundation worker Olaf Exoo said in a written summary of the day. Exoo said it was "a last greeting to each other that gave everybody watching goose bumps." Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

She may love giraffes, but the converse may not be the case. Or it might; animals play rough and we simply aren't up to it. California dreamin' morons.

I have met young people that the "Circle of Life" presented in the Lion King encompasses their entire understanding of nature and has become the closest thing to a religion they have. It's very frightening the twisted perspective fortunate, first-world, city-dwelling kids have developed on so many subjects. This young lady got an excellent couple of doses of reality.

My son was kicked by a giraffe cow when he was about 7. He made the mistake of walking behind her, which understandably made her nervous. She hit him in the chest with one hoof, just hard enough to knock him back a few feet and down. It was an unpleasant experience - for all concerned - but no permanent harm done. She could have easily crushed his chest had she really let him have it. I suspect she just didn't want him there and was being as gentle as a giraffe can be in that circumstance. Anyway, we learned an important lesson that could have ended tragically but fortunately did not.
