I would add the following: Benin Senegal Congo-Brazzaville Ghana Central African Republic It is dependent on what you define as "hunting". There are a few countries (Morocco comes to mind) that allow wing-shooting and driven boar hunts. Not sure on the current status of Congo-Kinshasa (DRC) or Chad. I know that hunting was permitted in these countries in the not too distant past. In addition, I recently saw an offer from a French outfitter who is guiding hunts in Gambia (Le Gambie). These are for Hippo, Croc, Hyena, etc. Not sure if these are legit so I'm not sure if this country qualifies.

FWIW, We cover the 12 most significant hunting countries in Africa on the site at www.shakariconnection.com which are: Benin Botswana Burkino Faso Cameroon CAR Ethiopia Mozambique Namibia RSA Tanzania Zambia Zimbabwe With a bit of luck, we might have to add Uganda to the list soon and currently we also cover about 170 species in those countries.

I could be wrong but I think the price for 2009 in Egypt was $27,500. Egypt Opens Hunting For Nubian Ibex and Barbary Sheep Published: June - 2008 Hunt organizer Harv Hollek has successfully opened hunting in Egypt for Nubian ibex and Barbary sheep. Hollek, you'll recall has opened a number of exotic destinations to international hunters over the last few years, including Vietnam and Cambodia. Egypt had been closed to big game hunting for 40 years. Hollek has been meeting with Egyptian wildlife officials for over a year now and called us last month after returning from Cairo with the good news. He says he will be offering hunts for Nubian ibex and Barbary sheep in an area near the Red Sea starting this coming October. The hunts will take place in the low mountains on foot or horseback. Guides are local Bedouins who know the area and the game movements. The terrain is not very steep, says Holleck, but hunters will need to be in good shape as there is a lot of walking and climbing in arid terrain will be involved. Expect 90 degree heat. Accommodations are a rustic tent camp. Hunters who wish to bathe in camp should bring their own sun shower. As for trophy quality, Holleck says 35- to 40-inch ibex and 25- to 29-inch sheep are a reasonable expectation. Because there has been a lot of poaching over the years, he says hunters should not expect to take world record animals. The allure of this hunt is the ability to hunt a new destination for species that originated there. As for importing trophies into the US, Holleck says US Fish & Wildlife Service has given him the green light. These hunts will run for 11 days with an additional night in Cairo on each end. The cost is $24,000 with hunting licenses. Clients take either a plane or train from Cairo to Edfu where they continue on to the hunting area. Not easy to know about a couple of countries I am not aware of any hunting in Nigeria Somalia is far too dangerous, Algeria and Erythrea also Sudan is uncertain Djibuti too small In all other countries, wing and upland shooting along with hare shooting. Mauritania : wart hog Marocoo : wart hog (only with a shotgun) Gambia :wart hog Mali : wart hog and duiker Niger : wart hog (though big game is present near the Burkina border). Senegal, wart hog, duikers, buffalo, bushbuck, Buffon cob, Roan, Oribi, DERBY ELAND Burkina : wart hog, duikers, oribi, buffon, redunca, bushbuck, buffalo, roan, hartebeest, hyena, lion Tchad : technically all the antelopes (included Derby, kudu,) and cats, (same game as in CAR) in fact few hunters due to guerilla. The most searched game is the Aoudad......and poached elephants It can be added that in Sahara (Algeria, Tunisia, Lybia, Niger) are organised falcon hunting hunts......but the hunters being quite undisturbed are prone to shoot Oryx, Damas gazelle and Aoudads.. One among the most known is Lybian Muamar Ghadafi. J B de Runz Be careful when blindly following the masses ... generally the "m" is silent
