Eric had a great combination of sharp intelligence that was tempered with good common sense, a quiet humility, lots of grace and the gifts of innovation and the will to carry out a dream.

A good man was he!

Nick,
Thanks for reminding us of the good guys we shared these forums with. Their wit and wisdom are missed.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

We are all going to face this someday.
There will be a piece of granite with our birthdate, then a dash, then the date of our death.
We don't have much control over out birth or death, but that dash- represents our lives.
I hope my dash represents good, & that my friends will also remember me fondly.

LORD, let my bullets go where my crosshairs show.
