Hi, Wonder if anybody here at AR has hunted with Gotsoma Safaris and the owner Adrian de Guisto? | ||

Beware of adrian de guisti of Gotsoma Safaris, he took me and my clients for nearly US$9000, and 2 local hunters I know for R30,000. He promised to refund the money but used excuses to not pay it back and does not respond to comms. I am reliably informed that he has done the same thing to a number of other hunters. I think most safari operators require full daily rate payment before the hunt - unless the client is known to them. And frankly, I do not blame them. When an outfitter finds an honest client - and most are - keep him. Same goes for professional hunters. When you find an honest one, make sure you hunt with him again, and again. | |||

I have only ever booked with a deposit, that has always been enough to get the booking slot. Then I can follow up with booking airline tickets etc. Final payment in the weeks leading up to travel. I would never pay 100% up front a year or so out from the hunt. Cheers Stu | |||
