I thought the SA swim in both the heat and final was the outstanding swim of the meet and Yes, the 100 metre will be the one to see. The Americans will go better next week when Track and Field starts. However, I think American performance is down because they have been drained by by both Osama and Bush. It must be hard to be a flag waving American and your President is doing impressions of a chimpanzee. Mike

In fairness, I guess we should also give credit to the Americans that helped us to win the 4 x 100 swimming rely. Our boys have been training and preparing in the US for a long time. Ryk Neethling has been in the US for 9 years. He studied at the University of Arizona, were honored as their Athlete of the Century, and went on to be elected as the Chairman of their Student Council not bad for a University with 50 000 students. Given the way Ryk and his teammates have been accepted, helped and honored by the Americans, we can just say thanks for your great hospitality and super sportsmanship.
