I haven’t been since they were in Reno or Vegas. Wondering how the Nashville location was? I was checking out hotels and they seemed pretty expensive. Any good value hotels in the area?

Nashville was great.

I agree about hotels. Some guys I know got Air BNBs close by and they were way cheaper.

Honestly, this years SCI convention was the best show I’ve been to, lots of “new” people, good vibe, happy exhibitors, great venue, lots of non-show things to do. And my wife and I have been DSC convention chairs, this past SCI show was better than ours.

The response was fantastic on Nashville.
I live here and can speak to the hotels…
Yes, they can be expensive especially right downtown by Broadway and the Convention Center
The advice would be to…
1) book early before occupancy is nearly full (but it always is basically)
2) if you go just a little bit out around say West End/Vanderbilt or an Air BnB you can find a better deal and just take a $10 Uber
3) you could stay further out but are sacrificing some of the experience (a lot actually) to save a few bucks….

So best advice is book early in a prime location downtown
I’m looking right now at tons of rooms on Jan31 to Feb 3 from $150 to many around $250 for really nice places right there
In West End the Lowe’s is $208 and some around $100 (5 min away)

I have heard good things about the 2023 convention.

I was hunting in Cameroon during the whole thing.

We may go to Nashville next year.

We shall see.

Nashville 2023 was fantastic. The hotels were a bit pricey, but I enjoyed it much more than Vegas. I'll be attending again this year, for sure.

I liked Nashville and like Safari2 it is a 5 hour drive for me.

We stayed in Brentwood in a Comfort Inn for $75 a night. It was plenty nice. Even better, it was right on US 31 which become Franklin Rd and then 8th Ave S in Nashville. This literally led directly to the Music City Center with minimal traffic. It took us 15-20 minutes to get to the convention center.

I travel to Nashville for business a few times a year . If one moves further away from the convention center , the hotels are much less expensive . On business trips, I stay closer to the airport.

Wow, what a great reference. I may try Nashville SCI next year.

Not slighting any other groups convention, just being 100% honest. I expect no less from the upcoming convention/show. Really looking forward to the show.
