The buffalo I shot in Zim hunting with JudgeG last June arrived at my taxidermist in Georgia today. I stopped by to see the skull and cape. It was like saying hello to an old friend. Had a little trouble getting it cleared, but Patti with Coppersmith in Atlanta was a HUGE help and now all I gotta do is wait until the mount is finished. My plains game trophies are enroute from RSA, so I should have a fun summer hanging things on the wall.

1115,

Are the plains game trophies already mounted? If so, what, how many, and what are the shipping costs? Reason I ask is I have some trophies that should be finished sometime around June/July; therefore, trying to get an estimated cost of shipping finshed products.

graybird,

Don't know the shipping costs on the plains game yet. I had European mounts done on six animals and a zebra rug made. I will let you know when I find out.

1115: maybe you need a "working party" to help you nail them to the walls. I'm good for another single malt Smiler jorge

If you are shipping mounted trophies, I encourage you to contact John Meehan [jjmeehan@faunaandflora.com] at Fauna and Flora to check on their Ocean Cargo scheme in conjunction with Safari Air Cargo in Johannesburg.

It is cheaper but does take a little longer.

See my previous post for details on South African Taxidermy prices and Ocean shipping costs.

Jorge,

Guess you want me to feed you again too huh??

LHowell,

I have already chosen a shipping/clearing agent on Ray Atkinson's recommendation, but will keep this in mind in the future. Thanks

1115:

My turn to provide the red meat. Tell me how many steaks to bring. I think we need to eat cow since Jorge shot up most of the Arma-dildos and the rest got washed away to Cumberland.

Jorge:

My plane is prettier than your plane!

Judge: yes it is, but since F-4s and S-3s can "pass gas" to you short leg types, you better talk nice on the radio or we'll just let you flame out! jorge
